Jennifer Lopez was born in 1969 to a family of Puerto Rican descent. Lopez began dancing during her childhood. At 16, she debuted as a film actor with a minor role on the film My Little Girl. In 1991 Lopez got her TV debut after she joined In Living Color as a professional dancer. Lopez became the star of the cop procedural Shades of Blue (2016), portraying an ambivalent officer. Second Act (2018) saw her take on a humorous role as a woman whose friends enhance her resume to get a job at a Manhattan-based firm.
